My wife and I were in New Orleans at the beginning of Mardi Gras in 2018. We went to the insectarium, a trip I highly recommend. While looking at the sample cases, I became rivetted with the patterns of the critters but mostly the butterflies. This triptych is 18" high and 6' long. It mimics the exterior wing pattern of the blue morpho butterfly. A yellow flower adorns the upper right corner.
